Helen Keller Foundation

“Help me hasten the day when there shall be no more blindness.”
- Helen Keller

At alerttile®, we know firsthand the impact that visual impairments have on people and their families. My mother, Sylvia Munroe, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage that left her blind for the last ten years of her life. One of our company's executives, Col. Ken Boykin, who once commanded all of the B-52s in Operation Desert Storm, has macular degeneration. Ken's disease not only grounded him from flying, but also prevents him from enjoying many daily activities that most of us take for granted, such as driving, fishing, golfing and enjoying sunny days on the beach here in beautiful, coastal North Carolina.

alerttile® is proud to partner with the Helen Keller Foundation and to give back to the visually-impaired community. For every detectable warning panel we sell, we donate a percentage of our proceeds to the Helen Keller Foundation and the noble worldwide causes that it serves.

Please visit the Helen Keller Foundation's website and discover the many ways that they are fighting to conquer blindness across the globe. Through research, education and corporate awareness, we pray that Ms. Keller's dream of ending blindness will someday come true. Until then, we'll continue to give and to support, so that some day people like my mom and Uncle Ken will be able to enjoy God's world and all of its beauty every day.

Thanks very much for your patronage, and for using alerttile® products on your projects that require detectable warnings.
